I am trained in integrative counselling which involves a person centre approach and calling on psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural therapy and transaction analysis along with other approaches which I have learned. This works like a tool box in which I can select the appropriate way to work with each client. My work is often attachment theory based and often roots back to attachment with ourselves and others. I am trained in solution focused therapy and coaching so I find this very useful for creating change but the depth of my training means we are be able to work the past, present and future. Every client is different but I always build my work within a safe, understanding, compassionate therapeutic relationship as this is crucial for any work to take place.

I am based in South Liverpool with my own therapy room in Woolton Village. I also offer sessions via Zoom and by phone - whichever works best for you.

I also offer a free initial 20 minute consultation which can be arranged by email, phone, WhatsApp or by simply completing the short form on the Contact page.
In this call I explore if you have had therapy before, what it is you wish to work on / gain from sessions this time, I explain a bit about my approach and you can ask me any questions you have. We explore practical things like cost, frequency and availability of both our schedules. I can leave it with you to think about or you can book right in!

Yes. Everything within the therapeutic relationship is confidential. What you share is treated with compassion and respect and treated with complete confidentiality in line with BACP ethical guidelines. There are a small number of legal and ethical exceptions to this which I will explain at the start of your first session.
