Laura Malcom-Nuttall

Laura is a qualified, experienced Integrative Counsellor, Therapeutic Coach and Mindfulness Practitioner. 

Laura is trained to teach and facilitate accredited training courses.  Laura is registered with the British Association of Counselling Professionals and holds a BA Hons Business Studies. Laura is passionate about sharing the skills taught in this course both for personal and professional development.  She loves meeting new students and seeing them grow and develop.

Barbara is a Person-Centred Counsellor, Clinical Supervisor, Qualified Tutor and Life Coach.

An Accredited Member with the BACP ( British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy), her approach to counselling is that the clients know best and therefore she offers a listening ear, empathy and a non-judgemental environment.

Barabara comments: “As a person-centred counsellor, I have experience of working with clients in my own private practise. I have worked with many clients with very different issues, and I feel I can support clients on a wide range of challenges. I am certified in couples' counselling's/Marriage guidance.

I am also now teaching students in level 2, 3 & 4 in counselling skills. This was a natural progression for me as I have been supervising trainees and understand the gaps in knowledge and have worked on the contents of what I believe to be an excellent course for all students.”

Polly Winstanley
COURSE TUTOR & STUDENT MENTOR

Polly is a warm, compassionate and grounded BACP registered Counsellor with a deep commitment to supporting others through life’s challenges. With a strong foundation in active listening, empathy, and trauma-informed care, she create safe, non-judgmental spaces where individuals feel truly heard and understood. Polly brings experience in one-on-one counselling, crisis support, emotional regulation, and helping clients navigate mental health, grief, relationships, addiction and personal growth.

Polly comments: “My teaching approach is person-centred, and collaborative - I believe healing happens in connection, not isolation. I meet people where they’re at, and together we work towards insight, resilience, and real, meaningful change.”

Beyond my professional role, I am also a mum - a role that has shaped me in profound ways. Motherhood has deepened my patience, strengthened my intuition, and taught me how to hold space with love, even in the hardest moments.

I bring all of this - my training, my heart, and my lived experience - into every session.”
